“The party has back stabbed me, humiliated me” said senior congress leader Mohinder Singh Kaypee after leaving the Adampur returning officer office, without filing the nomination papers.
It all started yesterday late evening/ today early morning when news broke that Congress high command is going to change the Adampur reserved seat in (Jalandhar district) candidate Sukhwinder Singh kotli with Mohinder Singh Kaypee or his son. The drama continued whole day till fifteen minutes before the filing of nomination process going to an end today at 3:00 pm
Mohinder Singh Kaypee reached Adampur returning officer office to file his nomination papers. He made all his papers, affidavits as a congress party candidate. When he reached in the office, the returning officer demanded the party authorization letter, which he doesn’t have. The returning officer rejected his claim and asked him to bring that form/ letter. He failed and came back without filing his nomination papers.
Mohinder Kaypee even looses the chance to file his or his son nomination papers as an independent candidate, as he has to remake the whole documents, affidavits as an independent candidate. Due to shortage of time he came back.
After coming out, he declared that “he will leave congress and announce his next course of action within two-three days.”
He said the party high command had given him assurance that his family will get party ticket and will withdraw the ticket given to Sukhwinder Singh Kotli.

The congress party has allotted the party symbol to Sukhwinder Singh Kotli and finally he submitted is form to the returning officer as it has learnt that one of the two AICC secretaries in charge of Punjab has been sent to Adampur with the party symbol. He has been instructed to hand over the symbol to the candidate the AICC finalise.
Earlier in the day another senior congress leader and former minister Jagmohan Singh Kang left Congress with his sons and joined aam admi party (AAP)
