Education Minister Meet Hayer visits Govt schools in Rupnagar constituency

Punjab Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer paid a surprise visit to Government Senior Secondary School Purkhali, Government Senior Secondary School Chanoli and DAV Senior Secondary School Takhtgarh falling under Rupnagar assembly constituency..

Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and Rupnagar MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha first arrived at Government Primary School Purkhali around 9 am today for  checking., he reviewed the various arrangements.made in the school.

The Education Minister interacted with the school children regarding the quality of education. He also interacted with the school staff and inquired about the difficulties being faced by them.

Apart from this, he also inspected the mid -day meal of the government primary school and also tasted  the mid -day meal. He spoke to the mid-day meal workers. On this occasion the mid -day meal workers said that earlier they were getting an allowance of Rs.1000 and now they are given an allowance of  Rs.3000..

On the occasion, the mid-day meal workers said that due to high inflation, their livelihood has become  very difficult.  Education Minister said that attention would be paid to the problems of mid -day meal workers. After this the Education Minister visited Government Senior Secondary School Purkhali. He visited the ruined sports wing of the school.He directed the principal of the school to improve the condition of this sports wing and bring this sports wing in the use of the school. He also visited the school classrooms and the school lab and interacted with the children.

He said that the government has taken steps to raise the standard of education in government schools in Punjab.

He said that in order to raise the standard of education, he was personally visiting government schools and getting information about the shortcomings of the schools. He said that in future government schools of Punjab would be made first class schools in the country,which would set an own example in the whole country.

The staff of the  government schools were also advised to be on duty in the schools on time and perform their duties diligently and honestly.

MLA  Dinesh Chadha also said that major reforms would be made in the education sector in the government schools of the constituency. and the  government has started its work in this regard.. He also sought the cooperation of school staff and general public for this purpose.
