Patiala division gets new divisional commissioner; 2004 IAS officer assumed charge

2004 batch Senior IAS Officer Arun Sekhri today assumed charge as Divisional Commissioner, Patiala Division. He is serving as the Labour Commissioner, Punjab and is now posted as Divisional Commissioner, Patiala with additional charge.
On his arrival at District Administrative Complex, Patiala, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, SSP Deepak Pareek, Additional Deputy Commissioners Gautam Jain, Gurpreet Singh Thind and Isha Singhal, SDMs Dr Ismat Vijay Singh and Kirpal Veer Singh, Assistant Commissioner (G) Kiran Sharma and other officials, welcomed Arun Sekhri, Divisional Commissioner. On the occasion, a contingent of police saluted Sekhri with a guard of honour.
After assuming office, Arun Sekhri held a brief meeting with the DC and other officers and directed all the officers to implement the policies and programs of the government in a coordinated manner. “Good governance and time bond delivery of maximum citizen-centric services would be my priorities”, said Arun Sekhri.
Divisional Commissioner seeks information regarding flood protection works and said that he will visit the district to review the flood protection works next week. In the monsoon season a maximum number of saplings would be planted, he added.

After assuming his post as Divisional Commissioner, Arun Sekhri, also paid obeisance at the local historical Gurdwara Sri Dukh Niwaran Sahib and the ancient temple Sri Kali Devi and prayed for the welfare of all. While assuming the office of Arun Sekhri, the entire staff of the Divisional Commissioner were present and they welcomed Sekhri.
