IQAC meeting held at Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala

A monthly meeting of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was held on the directions of DPI (C), Punjab under the guidance of Chairperson, IQAC, Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata, Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala on 5th November, 2022 at 12:10 PM in the Principal Office. Dr. Vaneeta Rani (Incharge IQAC) introduces the purpose of the meeting. The agenda sent by the Higher Authorities was included in this meeting. There was a brief discussion on the points of agenda. Prof. Ram Kumar gave a detailed account of the activities of the NSS Unit. Dr. Apra proposed to adopt the multi entry and exit system and to adopt digital learning. The activities organized in the library were listed by Madam Sukhbir Kaur. The achievement of the Carrier Counselling and Placement Cell were explained by Dr. Rekha Rani. The Indian system of education was discussed by Dr. Reetu Kapoor. Every member presented their view point’s regarding the points to be discussed. The view points were compiled to form a detailed report. The detailed report shows progress on the registration of students on www.abc.gov.in. About 60% of the students have already registered themselves and the rest is in process.

IQAC meeting held at Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala. After a brief discussion it was proposed to follow a strict Quality Road Map for the institution which would include activities that would help the students in getting Quality education. The programs planned in such a way will target students group and teachers for quality enhancement. Various activities have been planned such as Alumni meets, training workshops for students, career counselling lecturers, FDP for the teachers etc. The Alumni Members present in the meeting also shared their views. The meeting ended with a positive note by the College Principal and Dr. Vaneeta Rani. All the members of IQAC, also the students member attended the meeting.
