Budha Dal Public School Celebrates ‘Gracias’

Budha Dal Public School, Patiala celebrated its Annual Day on 4 December 2018 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation.The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the rendition of Shabad. The tiny tots of Preparatory Wing swept the audience with their adorable moves. The stage illuminated with the colourful and musical spectrum of festivals wherein the students of Jr. Wing presented Holi, Baisakhi, Eid. The props and costumes added colour to the festive occasion which synchronized with the dance movements to the foot tapping music. They also gave a peep into the unity in diversity of the country by showcasing various folk dances.
Budha Dal Public School Celebrates ‘Gracias’The Sr. Wing presented the theme ‘Gratitude’ through mellifluous songs and scintillating dances. A medley of colourful performances unveiled the Gratitude to parents, friends, teachers & country which the students presented phenomenally. On the whole, the day rolled out an exciting medley of events that called the students to express their skills, talent, wit and capabilities on a common platform.
The English play ‘Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens was an enactment of a miserly old Ebenezer Scrooge who reacts to the holiday visitors with bitterness and venom, but later has a change of heart after being visited by the Ghosts of Past, Present and Future.
The progressive report of the school was presented by the School Captain, Sehaj Singh Mundi and the School Head Boy, Shreyas Sharma.
The Chief Guest distributed prizes which included trophies and blazers to the 500 meritorious students in academic and non-academic realm. Avneet Singh Dhaliwal- Mr. Punjab is was alumni (2012-13 batch) was also honoured. The School Magazine ‘Cornocopia’ was also released on this eventful day.
The day was illuminated by a galaxy of eminent people which included Navtej Singh Cheema, MLA, (Sultanpur Lodhi), , Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Cabinet Minister, Punjab, Mandeep Singh Sidhu (PPS), SSP, Patiala, Dipinder Singh (IAS), Commissioner, Patiala, Ranjit Kaur, member SGPC, Varinder Ghuman, Supreet Ghuman (member PPSC), Aarti Verma (IPoS, Sr. Supdt. Post Officies).
Among the other dignitaries present were the Chief Patron of the school, Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh Ji accompanied by President of the schools managing committee Sukhvinderjit Kaur, Karan Rajbir Singh Director Education & Advisor to Budha Dal Public Schools, Principal- Dr.(Mrs.) Amrit Aujla & principals of various CBSE schools.
The Chief Guest was superlative in his appreciation of the students and teachers. He lauded the vision and the relentless hard-work put in by students and their mentor for presenting such a message oriented programme.
The function culminated with the National Anthem.
