Close aides of Capt, Badal joins BJP

Arvind Khanna, a congress from Sangrur, is a businessman and former MLA from Sangrur ((2002-2007) , Dhuri (2012-2015), general secretary of Punjab Pradesh congress committee, a social worker. Khanna’s business interests lie in the Defence and Arms Industry. Khanna’s father, Vipin Khanna is thought to be one of the biggest and most powerful players in the Defence and Arms Industry in India. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the CBI had filed a chargesheet on Khanna’s father Vipin in connection to the Embraer aircraft deal. The ED had filed a chargesheet on Khanna for receiving commission in favour of swinging the deal in Embraer’s favour.Embraer had won an order to supply 3 fully modified EBM-145 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) to the Indian Airforce, according to the ED investigation, Embraer had entered into a contract with Vipin Khanna to use him to influence Ministry of Defence officials.
Kanvar Singh Tohra from Patiala, is a grandson of Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tohra, former SGPC president, MP and younger son of Harmel Singh Tohra former cabinet minister in Parkash Singh Badal government.
Gurdeep Singh Gosha from Ludhiana is a businessman, general secretary shiromani akali dal and President youth akali dal (Ludhiana).
Dharamveer Sareen from Amritsar is a former councilor and chairman market committee.
These leaders joined the BJP in the presence of Union Ministers Hardeep Puri and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
