Congress, the main Opposition party in the newly constituted Lok Sabha, has decided to not to participate in public debates. The party has taken a decision “that it will not send its spokespersons for television debates for a month.” said Randeep Surjewala.

The move comes amid the party’s big debacle in the recent Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and the post-poll chaos caused by its President Rahul Gandhi’s insistence on quitting.
