Doctors, paramedical staff deputed at Shambhu border; private hospitals in Rajpura put on high alert

Civil surgeon Patiala has asked the authorities of Gian Sagar Hospital and Neelam Hospital, Rajpura to strengthen their emergency services due the ongoing farmers protest at Shambhu.

The Haryana Police lobbed multiple rounds of teargas shells, including through drones, at the Shambhu border near Ambala to disperse farmers. Due to this many framers, media person got injured and they were shifted to nearby hospitals at Rajpura.

Due to limitation of doctors, paramedical staff in govt hospitals, the civil surgeon has asked the private medical college cum hospital and a private hospital to strengthen their medical emergency.

The civil surgeon has also asked the hospital authorities to reserve their ambulances, medicines , medical staff for any emergency.

As per available information, the health department officials are planning to depute the doctors and para medical staff from other stations to Shambhu to cater the emergency health services.

In that case the health services may suffer in those areas due to shortage of staff, paramedics, doctors.
