During the Shukrana Yatra, Punjab CM Mann held a special interaction with the CEO of Vedanta Power Mansa Plant

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today continued the third day of his four-day Shukrana Yatra, which commenced from Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib following the passing of the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act, 2026, proposing strict punishment against sacrilege.
During the thanks giving yatra in Bathinda, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, Sardulgarh, Mansa, Barnala, and Sunam and nearby regions, the Chief Minister briefly stopped outside Gate No. 2 of the Vedanta Power thermal power plant for few minutes situated at Village Banawala, Mansa–Talwandi Sabo Road, Punjab.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by CEO of Vedanta Power’s Mansa Power Plant Pankaj Kumar Sharma.

Speaking during the interaction, the CEO stated: Vedanta Power Mansa Plant has always stood firmly with the Government of Punjab and will continue to support the state in meeting its growing electricity demand. Currently, the plant contributes nearly 35% of Punjab’s electricity generation requirements, and we remain committed to continuously delivering our services for the progress and development of the state.
