FCR directed DC’s, revenue officers to visit rain hit areas; conduct on the spot assessment

The Financial Commissioner Revenue KBS Sidhu on Sunday reiterated Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s directives to send comprehensive reports of special Khasra Girdawari conducted for the assessment of crop loss due to the untimely rainfall and hailstorm in the State.
Disclosing this here today, the FCR further instructed all the Deputy Commissioners to submit the preliminary reports in this regard at the earliest so as to enable the Revenue Department to initiate the disbursement of relief on account of crop damage due to inclement weather. Sidhu also ordered the DCs to intensify process of Special Girdawari in their respective districts in the wake of recent heavy rains and hailstorm in various parts of the state.
The FCR also directed the Divisional Commissioners and DCs , besides revenue officials, to visit rain and hailstorm hit areas extensively to conduct on the spot assessment of the damage to the crops.
