Govt Mohindra College organized two days workshop on Advanced Instrumentation Techniques in Chemical Analysis

Chemistry department of Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala under the guidance of Principal. Amarjit Singh has organized a two day workshop on Advanced Instrumentation Techniques in Chemical Analysis on 4th and 5th October 2023 in School of Chemistry and Biochemistry Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET), Patiala.
During the two days program students were exposed to a few advanced techniques used in chemical analysis like IR, NMR, UV/Visible Spectroscopy, HPLC, fluorescence techniques along with their practical operations.
During the first session they were theoretically introduced and in the second session they saw practical operations of these instruments. The two institutions worked in collaboration to carry out this program smoothly.
On this occasion, 50 students from MSc, BSc 3rd year of Govt. Mohindra College participated in this workshop. This program was organized under the learned supervision of Prof. Rachna Bhardwaj, HOD Chemistry Department, Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala and Dr. Satnam Singh, Professor and Head Chemistry Department, Thapar Institute.
All the faculty members of the Chemistry Department of Thapar Institute and Dr. Randeep Lamba and Prof. Kamlesh helped in organizing this program successfully.
