On August 10, 2024, Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala, was a buzz with festive cheer as it celebrated the Teej Fiesta with great enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy. The event commenced with a soulful rendition of the Shabad, setting a spiritual tone for the day.
The Teej Fiesta was a memorable celebration featuring an array of engaging activities including an Inter-House Folk Dance Competition,Solo Dance Performance,Punjabi folk songs(singing ),Lively skits, Ramp walk, puppet dance and Punjabi folk dance by tiny tots of classes 1st to 3rd.
One of the highlights of the event was the Mrs. Teej Contest, showcasing the grace and talent of the ladies and the winner of the contest was Harminder Kaur. Next we had the talent show for kids which was a testament to the diverse skills of the young students. Adding to the festive spirit, there were various stalls offering delicious eatables, floral swings, and Mehndi designs, enhancing the cultural essence of the event.
The Principal extended a warm welcome to them, and a heartfelt vote of thanks was given at the end of the program.
The event was a resounding success, drawing people from all over Patiala, as it was open to the public. A lucky draw added to the excitement, with the first prize being an air fryer, the second prize a microwave, and the third prize a smartwatch.Trophies were also awarded to the winners of the talent show, celebrating their exceptional performances.
