IIT Ropar and PSPCL Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Education and Research Collaboration

The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) and Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) have signed an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today. This agreement marks the beginning of a new era in the field of education, research, and industrial collaboration.

The main objective of the MoU is to promote skill-based training and education, organize industrial visits, enhance research collaboration in areas of mutual interest, and exchange data for research purposes.

Under this agreement, IIT Ropar will conduct capacity-building programs for PSPCL employees, which will enhance their skills and familiarize them with the latest technologies. Additionally, PSPCL will provide necessary data and support to IIT Ropar students to work on real industrial problems.

On this occasion, Engineer R.S. Saini, Director/HR PSPCL, said, “This partnership will give us an opportunity to build a bridge between higher education and industry.”

Professor Rajeev Ahuja, Director IIT Ropar, sharing his thoughts, said, “This agreement will help our students gain real-world experience and strengthen industry-academic collaboration.”

The agreement was signed in the presence of Tejveer Singh, ACS Power, Engineer Baldev Singh Sran, CMD PSPCL, and Engineer Paramjeet Singh, Director-Generation PSPCL. This collaboration will undoubtedly prove beneficial for both institutions and will give a new direction to technical education and industrial development in Punjab.
