Today, Punjab government has issue a transfer orders of 33 Punjab police officers. The transferred officers include one IPS and 32 PPS officers.
Out of these 32, eight officers are senior superintendent of police, superintendent of police rank and 24 are deputy superintendent of police (DSP) officers.
Amritpal Singh escaped the police dragnet in Jalandhar district on March 18 during a crackdown against him and his supporters. Amritpal Singh was escaped in an SUV in Jalandhar on March 18,2023 and he is still on the run. He even had spend around 45 minutes in a gurudwara in Jalandahr district on that day. Today’s reshuffling in Punjab police is a major one after the escaping of Amritpal Singh and his accomplice Papalpreet Singh from Punjab police trawl.

The officers transferred today include Vatsala Gupta, the lone IPS officer posted as DCP, HQRS, Jlandhar, the lone SSP Swarandeep Sing,h who is SSP Jalandhar Rural, Manjit kaur, SP Hqrs , Jalandhar, Jagjit Singh Saroya, ADCP Hqrs Jalandhar, Sarabjit Singh, SP Investigation, Jalandhar, Jaskarajit Singh, DCP investigation, PBI, Jalandhar , Harpreet Singh, ACP,PBI Homicide & Forensic, Jalandhar, Prem Kumar, DSP Command Centre, Jalandhar, Babandeep Singh ACP, SD Cantt. Jalandhar, Surinderpal , DSP, SD Kartarpur, Jalandhar Rural, Amrik Singh , DSP PBI Economic Offences & Cyber Crime, Jalandhar, Surjit Singh, ACP, PBI Special Crime, Jalandhar, Sarabjit Rai, DSP, SD, Adampur, Jalandhar Rural, Balkar Singh, DSP, PBI Crime against women & Children Jalandhar Rural, Major Singh, DSP, PBI, Special crime, Jalandhar rural, Preet Kanwaljit Singh , ACP Traffic, Jalandhar, Jaswinder Singh Chahal, DSP Detective, Jalandhar Rural, Harinder Singh Gill, ACP, Special branch & criminal intelligence Jalandhar.
