Janhit Samiti organized Annual Summer distribution function

Patiala-Janhit Samiti (Regd.) Patiala organized Annual Summer Distribution Function to provide Uniforms, Books and note books to about one thousand needy students of different local and nearby schools of Patiala at State College Auditorium, Patiala. Maharani Preneet Kaur was the Chief Guest. Sanjeev Sharma Bittoo, Mayor Patiala. Er. Rattan Chand Modi Retd. Dy. Chief Engineer, Satpal Seth, President Rice Sheller Assn. Patiala, were the Guests of Honour.

Mohit Goel D.M (I.O.C) Sangrur, Rohit Sharma (GMT BSNL PTA), Er. M.M. Syal S.E. (Municipal Corporation),  Ashok Goyal (Charted Accountant), Naresh Gaur (Gen. Secy. AISBI Emp. Fed.), Dr. Sudhir Verma (D.M. (Cardioligist), Dr. Ashutosh Nirola (Principal Laxmi Bai Dental College), Sunder Kumar Singla (Bhagwati Siligate), Ravinder Singla (Bhagwati Siligate), Suraj Bhan Gupta (MD Vishal Paper Mill), Sanjeev Gupta (Director Mubasa Pvt. Ltd.), Davinder kaur (President Rotary Club (Royal), Manju Arora (Social Worker), Santosh Kumari (Social Worker) Major Singh Gill (Sarpanch Jhill), Jaswinder Singh Grewal (Advocate) were the special guests.

Janhit Samiti organized Annual Summer distribution function

Function was commenced with the tributes to the founder Janhit Samiti, Late  O. P Kaushish. Vinod Sharma, General Secretary, Janhit Samiti while welcoming the Guests told that the Samiti was founded in 1987 and since then is undertaking various welfare activities to serve the needy sections of the society in the field of education, health, and environment. With the Patronage of the donors and its members Janhit Samiti is running 5 ambulances on cost to cost basis and totally free for patients unable to pay the cost even. Seven free Sewing Training Centres, 4 Computer Centers, old age pension of Rs 300/- PM to 200 persons, maintenance of three parks including Children Park in Baradari Gardens, is also undertaken by the Janhit Samiti. Samiti has spent Rs. 3,50,00,000/- so for on social activities.

Preneet Kaur while addressing the gathering appreciated the social work being undertaken by Janhit Samiti. She told that efforts on the part of Government are not sufficient unless participation of people is not there. Sanjeev Sharma Bittoo appreciated the projects initiated by the Samiti.

Thereafter the distribution of Books, Uniforms were distributed and the teachers and social workers, who are contributing in the society were honored for their excellent services and also given a tree guard & dustbin to village Rai Majara.
