The Computonics Club of the Department of Computer Science organised a “Welcome Cum Induction Programme” academic session 2017-18 for the students of BCA-I, B.Voc.-I. M.Sc.(IT)-I, PGDCA and DCHN. Various teachers of BCA-II and III, M.Sc.(IT)-II, B.Voc.-II and III also participated in the programme.
Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal of the college while lauding the effort made by the department said that such programmes helps the students to become a part of the culture and system of the college by removing the hesitation among new students. It also inspires them to participate in various extra-curricular activities along with the studies.
Prof. Sukhmeen Kaur, Head of the Department of Computer Science said that each year the Department organise “Welcome Cum Induction Programme” for the fresher in order to acquaint students and teachers with each other. The Department always strives towards the overall growth of the students through various activities held from time to time. She also congratulated and thanked Prof. Inderbir Kaur, Convener, Computonics Club for organising such programme.
During the Induction Programme, Gurwinder Kaur a student of M.Sc.(IT)-II of Computer Science Department, shared her own experience while welcoming the freshers. Simarpreet Kaur, a students of B.C.A-III told the students about various academic and social activities done by the department Jagnoor Kaur of M.Sc.(IT)-I and Anmolratan Singh Sidhu of B.C.A.-I thanked their seniors for giving them such a warm welcome.
