National Conference organised at Bela Pharmacy College

Association of Registered Pharmacists (ARP) collaborated one day national conference was held at Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy (An Autonomous College), Bela , Ropar .This conference was hosted on the topic ‘Remedies and challenges in post Covid era:opportunities for a pharmacist.’. Dr. Shailesh Sharma, director and convener of the conference welcomed all the delegates and resource persons. Around 350 delegates from different states attended the conference.
Prof. Rajesh Kumar Goel, Ex-Dean, Punjabi University Patiala make the delegates aware about the challenges and opportunities for the pharmacist working in different areas like academics, industry, hospitals, research, regulations and marketing .
Professor Puneet Kumar Bansal, Central University Bhatinda was keynote speaker of the conference and expressed the delegates about the recent issues, opportunities and challenges of the pharmaceutical industry after COVID era. Second speaker (Prof.) Dr. Richa Shri from Punjabi University Patiala spoke on the herbal drugs and medicines used in the treatment of COVID. In the conference around 85 posters on different subjects were presented by the delegates. Dean, principals, faculty members of various Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and nearby states pharmacy colleges attended the conference.

In the panel discussion central ARP Team Members Dr. Vikas Sharma, Dr. Sudhir Bhardawaj, Dr. Pratap Singh Jadon, Dr. Kumar Gaurav, Dr. Bharat Parashar, Dr. Vishal Garg, Dr. Amit Nayak, Dr. Jayesh Dewide and Dr. Rahul Kumar Garg had discussed the various opportunities in the field of the rapidly growing Pharma sector for Pharmacists.
Newly elected members of Punjab Association of Registered Pharmacists (ARP) team were also facilitated in the event. Organizing secretary of the conference Dr. Satnam Singh thanked all the resource persons, ARP-team and the delegates.
