National workshop on structural equation modeling at Punjabi University

A seven days national workshop on “Structural Equation Modeling using AMOS and PLS” was organized by University School of Applied Management, Punjabi University, Patiala from 17 January 2020 to 23 January 2020. More than 45 participants from different states of India and international students participated in this workshop. Such diversity also provided the required networking opportunities among the participants. The introductory sessions on 17&18 January, 2020 were chaired by Dr. Amar Kumar Mishra, thereafter Dr. Ajay Chuhan, from IMT Ghaziabad continued for next five days and enlightened the participants with highly informative sessions.  The valedictory function was graced by the presence of Dr. B.S. Ghuman, the worthy vice-chancellor of the university.

Dr B S Ghuman, Vice- Chancellor of the university congratulated Dr Ritu Lehal and workshop coordinators for successfully organizing this seven days workshop. He also said that statistical tools such SPSS, AMOS & PLS are imperative in present era of innovation and technology for research work. Along with this he stressed the need to select an appropriate analytical tool for data analysis so that quality research can make significant contribution to society and education.

Addressing the participants at the valedictory function, Dr.Ritu lehal (The Head of the Department and workshop director) thanked the worthy vice-chancellor of the University for his Continuous Support in organizing such kind of learning activities. She also pushed the participants on realizing the relevance of innovative research methodology and encouraged the researchers to apply these practical techniques in their research work. Dr. Nidhi walia and Dr. Ravi Singla coordinators of this workshop presented vote of thanks to esteemed guests, resource persons and all the participants. They also assured that even in the forthcoming years they will continue with such type of research promoting activities in the department.
