PCS (EB) Officers Association donates one day salary to CM Relief Fund for contribution towards flood relief

A meeting of the PCS (Executive Branch) Officers Association was convened to review the flood situation in various districts of the state. The association noted with deep concern that the situation in certain districts is acute and grim with significant loss of lives and property being reported by officers from across Punjab.
Being in the service of the state, the PCS (EB) officers cadre has always stood by the people in times of crisis and is even now working tirelessly on the ground in flood relief operations.
Taking into account the gravity of the present situation, the PCS EB Officers Association unanimously resolved, after taking into account the views of executive members who represent the sentiments of all the officers, for extending
full support beyond its official duty to the government and people of Punjab. It was resolved that, as a gesture of solidarity, the PCS (EB) Officers will contribute one day’s salary to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Punjab for this cause.
“We further pray to the almighty to protect the people and land of Punjab in this unprecedented calamity and that normalcy may be restored at the earliest in the affected areas” said Jagdeep Seigal, PCS
