When asked Manjinder Kaur, what inspired her to do 10+2 after a gap of 26 years as she had done her matriculation in 1997, she said “ when last year the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) formed its government in Punjab, I contacted the local party office at Tripuri for a govt job. At that time I was 41 years of age. They said, there is no govt job for 10th pass out. Do 10+2 than we will consider it. They even suggested me to do my senior secondary through open schooling and helped me in filling my form. They also guided me about the age relaxation for SC’s and widows. That motivated me to do my senior secondary.”

Despite the challenges thrown by the world she has a long way to go. She plans of getting her daughter admitted in a good engineering college.

The Management and the Principal of Milestone School, Patiala  sent a congratulatory note to the mother and daughter duo. Manveen Aujla , the Principal of the school said that such lives are a source of inspiration and motivation for others
