Principals’ Federation elected Kushvinder Kumar as President, Dharminder Singh Ubha as VP

An emergent meeting of government aided private colleges affiliated with Punjabi University; Patiala was held Shaheed Kanshi Ram Memorial College, Bhago Majra. The difficulties faced by Govt. Aided Private College were discussed and decided to elect new office bearers of the Principals’ Federation so that these demands may be discussed with the Punjab Government and DPI (Colleges), Punjab.
The following were elected unanimously as office bearers of Principals’ Federation affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala:
- President: Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala
- Vice President: Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal, Khalsa College, Patiala
- Secretary: Dr. Jasvir Singh, Principal, Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib
- Joint Secretary: Dr. Meena Kumari, Principal, KMRD Jain College, Malerkotla
- Finance Secretary: Dr. Rama Sharma, Principal, SD College, Barnala.
Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala thanked all the government aided private colleges affiliated with Punjabi University; Patiala, Principals to elect him as President of the Principals’ Federation. He said he will try his best to discuss the demands with Punjab Government and DPI (Colleges), Punjab and get it implemented in true spirit. The major demands of the colleges of government aided private colleges affiliated with Punjabi University; Patiala:
- To implement 7thPay Commission
- To release regular grants of the colleges
- To discuss difficulties regarding SC, BC scholarships with social welfare departments
- Regarding implementation of regular appointment of contractual teachers.
