PS to CM takes the lead; orgainising “One month of govt” function with distribution of appointment letter

On March 16, Bhagwant Singh Mann takes oath as chief minister of Punjab at Khatkarkalan.
On April 16, after one of formation of AAP government in Punjab, Bhagwant Mann is going to distribute appointment letter to around 800 newly selected candidates in the recruitment process done by Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL).
As per available information the chief minister will hand over the appointment letter to the newly selected SDO’s,JEs to assistant lineman, accounts officer, UDC,LDC etc of Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) on April 16,2022. These candidates were selected earlier but didn’t get the appointment letter.
Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) is headed by A Venu Prasad, IAS. As per available information, A Venu Prasad who is additional principal secretary to chief minister is also the chairman-cum-managing director of PSTCL , is organising this function,to mark “One month of Govt.’
The head office of the Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) is at Patiala but the Transcom is organizing the function at Punjab Municipal Bhawan, sector 35-A, Chandigarh.
PS to CM takes the lead; orgainising “One month of govt” function with distribution of appointment letter. As per the available information, the two hour function will start at 10:30 am and end by 12:30 noon.
Punjab power minister Harbhajan Singh will accompany the chief minister at the function.
ABOUT PSTCL
Punjab Government has unbundled Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB), which was a statutory body formed on 01/02/1959 responsible for Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electricity in the state of Punjab. Vide Notification No 1/9/08-EB(PR)196, dated-16.04.2010 Govt. of Punjab carved out following two corporations out of erstwhile PSEB:
1.Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL)
2.Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL)
Acting as State Transmission Utility (STU), PSTCL has been entrusted with the transmission business of the erstwhile Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB). Functions of State Load Despatch Center shall also be discharged by PSTCL.
