The ad-hocism in the power sector is creating uncertainty in power sector affecting the efficiency of Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL) and Punjab state transmission corporation limited (PSTCL) as the important posts of directors distribution, director commercial , director administration in PSPCL and director technical and director administration in PSTCL , member Punjab state electricity regulatory commission (PSERC), chief electrical inspector (CEI) are not filled. Even the state has lost its claim on the member power in Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), happens first time in six decades.

An engineer on the condition of anonymity said the no new proposal or next year planning are being discussed in the PSPCL and PSTCL due to this ad-hocisim because the staff is reluctant to forward the proposal, plan to the existing directors, who are already on extended term. They fear that their plan, proposal might got dumped.
