Punjab police to check law and order preparedness of the force

As per available information, the newly appointed director general of police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav has initiated a program to check the preparedness of Punjab Police, at grass root level.
As per sources, Punjab police top brass has been assigned a district, commissionorate and asked them to visit the field offices, districts and carry out search operations in coming days.
As per available information, the police may launch a massive drive in the state to check the activities of gangsters, to search for bad elements, at one time. For this officers from ADGP to IG level officers may be ask to lead the operation in 28 districts , including police districts, commissionerates.
