Punjab’s Madhavi awarded with National Florence Nightingale Award; President of India felicitated the awardees

Today, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the years 2022 and 2023 to the Nursing professionals at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Punjab’s Madhavi Rane Chikhale is lone awardee from the neighboring state. She was awarded for the year 2023. No one from Punjab has won this prestigious award for 2022.
Madhavi Rane Chikhale is the Chief Nursing Officer at Fortis Mohali. She said “ this prestigious award is given to me for my 22 years of distinguished career. But, Punjab is lucky for me as I won this award while serving at Mohali. She further added that I am thankful to the government of Punjab who had forwarded my name for this prestigious National award, even though I am working in a private hospital. My Fortis hospital management team including Ashish Bhatia, Abhijit Singh, Zonal director, Vikramjit Singh, medical director of Fortis Mohali has fully supported me and shown confidence in me.”
Madhavi Rane Chikhale further added that I had joined Fortis Mohali in the year 2021. Earlier I was at Mumbai.”
The National Florence Nightingale Award was instituted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 1973 as a mark of recognition for the meritorious services rendered by the nurses and nursing professionals to the society.
