SAD score 2/78 in declaring women candidates for upcoming assembly elections

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal announced Jasdeep Kaur W/O Yadwinder Singh Yadu, a youth akali dal leader as party candidate from assembly constituency of Khanna. Jasdeep Kaur is a municipal councilor of MC Khanna.

The other SAD women candidate announced till date was Varinder kaur Loomba from Patran (in Patiala). She also remained party MLA from Patran, in their earlier stint.
With this announcement, SAD touches figure of 78 candidates.SAD also becomes the first party to declare its party candidates. Till now no other party-AAP, Congress, BJP etc has announced their candidates.
Under seat sharing pact with BSP, akali dal is contesting on 97 seats and BSP to field its candidates on 20 seats.
