Tarn Taran circle of PSPCL imposes fine of more than rupees 20 lacs for theft of electricity and other violations

PSPCL distribution division teams of Tarn Taran circle have launched a drive to check the menace of theft of electricity in the different areas of the Tarn Taran and has achieved good results. Er Mohinder Preet Singh SE distribution Tarn Taran circle of PSPCL said that 10 teams of four divisions has checked the premises of the consumers of Khalrha,Amarkot,Khemkaran,Rayya,Jhabal,Tarntaran, Sur Singh,Amarkot,Khadoor Sahib,buttari.He disclosed that during the checking 61 consumers found for theft of electricity and 27 consumers found for other violations.He said that a sum of rupees fine of more than rupees 20 lacs imposed to 88 consumers for theft of electricity and other violations .
A spokesman of PSPCL has appealed to all its esteemed consumers to help PSPCL in controlling the menace of theft of electricity by providing information about theft of power for campaign against theft of electricity in the state.Spokesman said that the consumers/informers can give feedback about theft of electricity on Whatsapp no 96461-75770 PSPCL assured its consumers that their identity will not be disclosed.
