To showcase research across diverse fields Thapar Institute-Virginia Tech. (USA) organized CEEMS Doctoral Scholar’s Day

The Thapar Institute-Virginia Tech. (USA) Center of Excellence in Emerging Materials (popularly known as CEEMS) has organised an event called CEEMS Doctoral Scholar’s Day, showcasing cutting-edge research across diverse fields. This exclusive gathering has featured breakthroughs in cancer research, graphene studies, nano composite exploration, and a myriad of other pioneering areas.

The Director of Thapar Institute , Prof. Padmakumar Nair inaugurated the Event and the Chair Professor of CEEMS Prof. Roop L. Mahajan, the Deputy Director Prof. Ajay Batish and the Coordinator Prof. Rajeev Mehta graced the Occasion.

Prof. Nair emphasized the importance of innovation in the current era of research to achieve sustainable goals.  Prof. Ajay Batish gave the background of establishing the interdisciplinary collaborations in terms of joint venture of TIET-Patiala and Virginia Tech, USA centre of Excellence on Emerging Materials (popularly known as CEEMS).

Professor Roop L. Mahajan expressed his hope that “today’s gathering will inspire us to continue striving for excellence and innovation in the pursuit of a brighter INDIA”.

He concluded remarks Prof. Rajeev Mehta, Coordinator, CEEMS thanks the management of Thapar whose support has been instrumental in shaping this centre of excellence.
