TSPL Celebrates Women’s Day with Village Women Leaders

Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL) organized a special program on International Women’s Day to celebrate, felicitate and honour village women leaders and entrepreneurs from the community. On the occasion, TSPL COO, inaugurated a stitching training centre for women at Banawali village.
International Women’s Day is celebrated with zest and enthusiasm worldwide. This year TSPL under its flagship project TARA dedicated a stitching training center for training rural women and linking them with income generating activities. Major highlight of the day was cultural performance by rural women joined by TSPL women and volunteers. The celebration was in congruence with this year’s theme of ‘Break the bias’ enlightening and encouraging women to rise above the stereotypes evolving into confident women of tomorrow.
Addressing the enterprising women from the vicinity, Chief Operating Officer (COO) – TSPL said, “It is an honor to be a part of these celebrations and interact with women leaders from the community, there is so much to learn and emulate. This reaffirms the faith in the indomitable spirit of womanhood and their ability to beat all odds and rise. I assure you of full support in your endeavors to sculpt a sustainable future.”
Mandeep Kaur, PSRLM BPO, addressed the audience and encouraged women to break the bias be the changemakers in the society. Set nurturing characteristic of women to support one another during crisis.
Chief Guest for the function Rajini Bala – Manager, Punjab Grameen Bank was touched with the women’s performance and said”, It is a matter of great pleasure & honor to be a part of the program on this remarkable day.
