Guru Nanak Dev University unveils UCAT 2025 results for 14 Courses in record 24 Hours

Guru Nanak Dev University has announced the results of the University Common Admission Test 2025 (UCAT 2025) held on Sunday, June 22, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Karamjeet Singh, with outcomes declared within 24-hour period. In these test, Rajnish Kumari d/o Rajinder Singh (Roll No. 31427) and Probhjot Singh S/o Daljit Singh (Roll No. 32578) got top position jointly with 113/150 score. The UCAT-2025, conducted for admission into 14 courses across 12 departments, saw 3796 applications, with 3367 candidates taking part. The process was seamlessly overseen by Coordinator Dr. Balwinder Singh and Deputy Coordinators Dr. Vikram and Dr. Pankaj Chhabra.
Dr. Balwinder Singh said that the courses offered include: Master of Tourism & Travel Management (MTTM) (FYIP), Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (MHMCT) (FYIP), M.Sc Computational Statistics Data Analytics (FYIP), M.A. Social Sciences (Development Studies) (FYIP), M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication (FYIP), M.Sc. Fashion Designing (FYIP), Bachelor of Design (Product/Animation & Graphic Design) (Interior), Bachelor of Business Administration (Agri Storage and Supply Chain) (3 Years), M.A. Journalism & Communication (FYIP), M.A. Social Sciences (Development Studies) (FYIP), M.B.A. (FYIP) (with dual specialization), M.Com (Data Analytics) (FYIP), M.Sc. Fashion Designing (FYIP), M.Sc. Computational Statistics and Data Analytics (FYIP), and M.B.A. (Finance) (FYIP).
He noted that the application deadline was June 20, 2025, with counseling slated to start on June 26, 2025. The tests provided a total of 1211 seats, receiving 3796 applications. The results are now available on the university’s website, he informed. Dr. Singh further revealed that the M.Com (FYIP) programme emerged as the most sought-after, garnering 954 applications for 240 seats.

The M.A. Social Sciences (Development Studies) (FYIP) came second with 637 applications for 200 seats, while the M.B.A. (FYIP) with dual specialization attracted 661 applications for 120 seats, indicating strong interest in business and management studies. In the data and design fields, the M.Sc. Computational Statistics and Data Analytics (FYIP) drew 141 applications for 40 seats. Additionally, the newly introduced M.Com Data Analytics 5-year integrated programme (with a 60-seat capacity) received 103 applications, and the Bachelor of Design course attracted 109 applicants for 40 seats.

Fashion Designing (FYIP) with 30 seats and 63 applications, M.Sc. Computational Statistics and Data Analytics (FYIP) with 40 seats and 141 applications, M.A. Economics (FYIP) with 81 seats and 92 applications, Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (MHMCT) (FYIP) with 60 seats and 115 applications, Master of Tourism & Travel Management (MTTM) (FYIP) with 40 seats and 20 applications, and M.B.A. (Finance) (FYIP) with 120 seats and 219 applications.
