Powercom engineers met Powerful CMD on Power issue to lodge their resentment Powerfully; the Powerful agitation to continue

Today evening a delegation of Punjab State Electricity Board Employees Association (PSEBEA) Office Bearers led by the President attended the meeting with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) CMD Basant Garg, IAS and two Directors (Distribution and Finance).
Ajay Pal Singh Atwal said that the Association firmly reiterated that the entire engineering cadre stands united and uncompromising on the following demands i.e.
Immediate halt to the sale/monetisation of power sector properties;
Immediate resumption of the 2 × 800 MW supercritical units at Ropar under the state sector;
Unconditional revocation of the suspension of CE/GGSSTP & Written condemnation to the Power Department regarding the illegal removal of Director/Generation,
Concrete action to stop political interference in technical decision-making.
The deep resentment within the cadre and the damage being caused to the functioning of the power sector were conveyed in clear and unambiguous terms.
Management has sought time to address these issues. Until concrete action is taken, the agitation will continue exactly as announced.
“All engineers are requested to participate in the state level protest meeting at Patiala on 02.12.2025 and register their resistance to the unjust and anti–power sector actions being imposed on the organisation” added Atwal.
