State food procurement bodies halt work in Punjab after district manager’s death

The Joint Action Committee of State Procurement Agencies, Punjab, has announced a complete shutdown of all its activities.
The decision came after the District Manager of the Punjab State Warehousing Corporation (PSWC) allegedly died by suicide on March 21, 2026.
The committee has extended its support to the family of the deceased, Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, District Manager, Punjab State Warehousing Corporation (PSWC), following similar support from the Punjab Foodgrain Field Staff Union and the Patwari Union.
