PSPCL directors, chiefs jump the wall; haunting night for PSPCL staff; slept in offices

Punjab state power corporation limited staff yesterday had a harrowing time. They have to remain in their offices, as the Powercom & Transcom contractual employees union protesting outside powercom head office had block all the entrance, exit gates.
Even today morning, they are not allowing anyone to enter their office. Hey are still holding the fort.
One of the protester said “our fight is with the management, not with any individual. We are also human being. We provided all the necessary items to the PSPCL staff, which remained in the PSPCL head office. We provide them bedding, langar etc to them. We will not lift the dharna, till the powercom, transcom met our genuine demands.”
One of the senior PSPCL employee, on the condition of anonymity said “we are able to rescue our three directors- Director Finance Jatinder Goyal, Director commercial Gopal Sharma, Director Generation Paramjit Singh along with chief engineers, SE’s, xen’s, and senior staff, who were made captive in the head office. We helped them to come outside in the night itself. The directors and other staff climbed over the back side wall and jump the wall, in the adjoining Punjab languages department head office, Malwa theatre”
When contacted the Director Finance Jatinder Goyal , he said “ Director administration is looking into this matter. He will give the details. When asked how they manage to come out he evaded the question”. When contacted the Director Generation Er Paramjit Singh, he disconnected the phone.
Powercom & Transcom contractual employees union has closed all the entry points of the head office. They sat in front of the head office, along with their family members and are not allowing anyone to leave the office. Earlier they locked up the female staff also. But in the evening, they allowed the female staff to leave.
Another member of the union said” we are here along with our family members, children to raise our voice against the Powercom and Transcom decision to shunting out the complaint handling bikes (CHB) members, to issue work orders and issue employment letter to the union member family members who died while performing the duty or got major causality while working on job. Around 150 members have either died or got up to 90 percent causality while working in the field.”
