International yoga day celebrated at Rupnagar

District Administration Rupnagar, in association with Ayurvedic and Unani department celebrated the 8th International Yoga Day at the open air theater of government college Rupnagar. About 1200 participants practiced yoga together on the occasion,
A yoga camp was started after the online address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion.Various yoga excercises were conducted under the guidance of Dr Virender on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Dr. Preeti Yadav, who was the chief guest on the occasion said in her address that people should practice yoga daily to make their lives healthy and prosperous .
On this occasion additional deputy commissioner (General) Rupnagar Dr. Nidhi Kumud Bambha and SDM Jasveer Singh also shared their views.
Members of Rupnagar District Unit of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan also participated in this Yoga day function.
Similarly on the occasion of Yoga Day, NCC cadets of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, Rupnagar, participated in a yoga camp organised under the leadership of Harish Kumar. Principal Rajan Chopra and Director Sukhjinder Singh also spoke on the occasion.
Similarly International Yoga Day was also celebrated at Immortal Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College Bela.
Yoga day was also celebrated at district courts under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge Harpreet Kaur Jeewan.
