MRS-PTU celebrates 55th Engineers’ Day

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU), Bathinda celebrated 55th Engineers Day at the University Auditorium.

It is worthwhile to mention here that 55th Engineers’ Day is being celebrated all over the country to commemorate the birthday of Sir Mokshagundam Vishveshwaraya. The theme of this years’ Engineers Day is “Smart Engineering for a Better World”.

This day is observed every year to acknowledge and honour all engineers in the country who have contributed and are still working towards developing a modern and sustainable India.

MRS-PTU Registrar, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar introduced Theme of this year’s Engineers Day throws light on the importance of the day.While Dr. Neeraj Gill made a presentation of Life Sketch of Sir Mokshagundam Vishveshwaraya.

Campus Director, Dr. Sanjiv Aggarwal made an impressive presentation on “Smart Transportation Technologies for Smart Cities”.

The “Smart Engineering Solutions” presented by students of CSE and ECE departments was another attraction. Faculty and staff members of all departments of the University participated in this programme.
