A workshop on 5G technology was held at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT)Rupnagar an institution of the Government of India. In this workshop, Director Technical Education and Industrial Training Department Punjab. DPS Kharbanda participated as the chief guest.

On this occasion Director Technical Education and Industrial Training Department Punjab DPS Kharbanda while addressing said that we want to make Punjab state the first state of the country by implementing this scheme in Rupnagar district of Punjab. He told how new courses can be run by implementing 5G technology in Technical Education and Industrial Training Department Punjab. With this scheme, the training of the trainees undergoing training in these institutions will be improved and the trainees will make their future bright along with making their maximum contribution to Skill India after completing the training. He said that we are soon implementing this scheme in all the institutions of Punjab.

In this workshop, Professor Dr.Sem Darshi from IIT Ropar gave a workshop regarding the use case of 5G and Deputy Director Nielit Dr.Sarwan Singh explained in detail that 5G technology is being used by the Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training in Punjab. How to start a course and how learners can be produced.

To make this workshop successful, Executive Director Nielit Subhash Tiwari, Additional Director Technical Education Punjab. Special contribution was made by Mohanveer Singh Sidhu and Deputy Director Industrial Training Department Punjab Maninderpal Singh Bhatia. During this workshop, the stage was conducted by the Joint Director Nielit  Anita Budhiraja.

Workshop on 5G technology conducted at NIELIT Rupnagar. All the staff of the institute NIELIT Rupnagar, principals of industrial training institutes of the district, training officers and all the instructors participated in this workshop.

After the conclusion of this workshop, Director Technical Education and Industrial Training Department Punjab. DPS Kharbanda visited Government Polytechnic College (Girls), Government Industrial Training Institute (Girls) and Government Industrial Training Nodal Institute Ropar. Those trainees were happy to see the projects created during the practical training and encouraged the hard working group of staff of the institute as well as the institute (girls) IRG. Under the scheme, special guidelines were given to boutiques, beauty parlors and nodal institute Ropar to set up their exhibition outside the campus of the welder etc. institute.
