Rotary Club Patiala Royal distributed ration to flood affected families of rag pickers

Rotary Club Patiala Royal under the President ship of Rtn Dr Inderjit Singh, distributed packs containing 5kg flour, 2kg sugar, half kg tea bag, 2kg rice, 2kg daal, 1kg salt to 40 families of rag pickers leaving in shanties on the outskirt of village Daulatpur. These shanties were completely submerged in flood water and these people lost all their livelihood essentials in the water. Beside the president, club members namely Daljit kaur Cheema, Shukal Chand, Secretarty; Harvinder Kaur, past secretary; S K Malhotra, Davinder kaur, Surjit Kaur, Rekha Maan donated money and cloths for the project and even some money was donated by Sukhpal Singh, Teacher at YPS voluntarily.

Dr Inderjit also told that on their way back they also distributed rice and daal to daily wagers working in rice fields.  The club members Daljit Cheema, Club Executive Director, Shukal Chand Secretary of the club, Harvinder Kaur, past secretary accompanied the president in distributing these items. Kulwant Singh, teacher Govt Middle school and his 8 years old daughter also voluntarily participated and helped in distribution.

Prior to distributing essentials to the needy Dr Inderjit Singh, President informed that in pursuance of their collaboration with VisionSpring Team of Delhi to examine 10000 individuals in villages of Patiala District, the sixth eye camp was held in Gurduwara Baba Dhudha dhari, village-Alipur Arayiaan and at the completion of this camp they have examined 368 individuals and distributed 195 spectacles.
