Senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal and former minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema has said that the Haryana Gurdwara Committee has been brought into existence and justified under a conspiracy .
He said that in this conspiracy, apart from the Central Government and the Haryana Government, unfortunately are Punjab government is also involved.
Addressing a meeting of the district organization of the Shiromani Akali Dal at the historical Gurdwara Bhatta Sahib here Thursday he said that with the connivance of these three governments, a great betrayal has been done to the Sikh panth. He said that this is a big conspiracy to break Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
He said that these efforts have been going on for decades, not from today. He said that by interfering in the Sikh panth, efforts are being made to influence our maryada and traditions. He said that earlier the anti-panthic forces were also contesting the SGPC elections under different banners but in Sangat always supported Shiromani Akali Dal.

He said that after 75 years of independence, what was done under the conspiracy, there is a huge resentment among the Sikhs against it. He said that the Gurdwara Act is under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and therefore he urged Home Minister Amit Shah file a review petition in the Supreme Court and bring justice to the SGPC. He said that Haryana has no right to legislate on the All India Act.
He said that how this happened, the Home Minister should look into it. He also appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the injustice done to the SGPC and minority Sikhs community should be rectified, whether through an ordinance or by bringing an Act.
He said that the efforts being made to take possession of shrines in Haryana should be stopped and the conspiracy to start infighting among should be stopped.
He said that the elected members from Haryana are still standing with the SGPC .He said that if any further action is taken now, it will spread more anger in the Sikh community.
