Few minutes ago Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has requested the election commission to extend the voting timings by one hour in the ongoing Sangrur parliamentary by elections. As per reports only 29.07 percent votes were polled till 3 pm

CM said “We demand from the Election Commission of India that the time is for the paddy season..Many people have gone for work or other work. Please extend the voting time from 6 pm to 7 pm so that they too can exercise their voting right as per the constitution drafted by Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar.”
