Mata Gujri College organises Media Fest Sahaafat-2018
Fatehgarh Sahib-Post Graduate Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh sahib organized its annual Media Fest ‘Sahaafat-2018’. S. Amarjeet Singh Waraich, Station Director, AIR, Patiala presided over the day.
Students of the department presented their short films and documentaries related to historical, ethical and social issues.
Amarjeet Singh Wraich shared his valuable experiences with the students. He encouraged the students to enrich their vocabulary and pronunciation to be a good radio presenter. He also motivated the students to read books instead of spending time on social sites.
Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and said that media can bring positive change in our society. He inspired the students to be ethical and energetic in the field of Journalism.
Chief Guest also distributed prizes to the students bagging top positions in word mystery, photography, caption writing, spot writing, declamation, piece to camera, press note writing, documentary/short film making, radio jockeying and radio news reading contests.
Prof. Reena Kaur Dhillon, Head, Journalism Department and Mass Communication department motivated the students to be creative, enthusiastic and skilful in every sphere of life. On this occasion, Dean Academics Prof. Bikramjeet Singh Sandhu, Prof. Anupreet Singh Tiwana, Prof. Gurparvesh Singh, Prof. Dilraj Singh, Prof. Kriri Talwar, Prof. Suman Sharma, Prof. Meenakshi and students were present.
