Mata Gujri College organizes a special Gurmat program dedicated to the centenary of Saka Panja Sahib

Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, as per the guidelines of Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, all the staff and students of the college organized a special Gurmat program dedicated to the centenary of Shaheedi Saka Sri Panja Sahib, in which all the staff and students of the college paid tribute and recited Sri Japuji Sahib and Sri. Chaupai Sahib and a special Gurmat march was also organised.
Additional Honorary Secretary of the College Management Committee Jagdeep Singh Cheema stated that the main purpose of these events is to make the young generation aware of their rich cultural heritage so that they can connect themselves with their glorious heritage by taking guidance from the lives of the great martyrs. Member of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Avtar Singh Ria said that commemorating the sacrifice of martyrs creates a sense of pride and courage in the community.
Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh while paying his tribute to the martyrs of Saka Panja Sahib said that Sikh history is steeped in martyrdoms, we should inculcate our children with our rich Sikh history, Sikh principles and Sikh ideology.
Vice Principal Dr. Bikramjit Singh while introducing the outline of the Gurmat program, thanked the Secretary Education Sukhminder Singh for his great guidance to all the principals of all SGPC colleges through an online meeting to organize this event successfully. He also thanked all the staff members of the college, students, NCC, NSS, Bharat Scout and Guide volunteers, Mata Gujri Study Circle, Red Cross Unit, Hostel students, Journalism Department, District and Police administration for their cooperation.

On this occasion, the Manager of Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Bhagwant Singh, all the staff and students of the college were present.
