World Autism Awareness Day celebrated at Elante Mall
Chandigarh: Empower-Joy a NGO for special children welfare celebrated World Autism Awareness Day at Elante Mall today. Over 60 people gathered for event to understand about autism.
Dr. Vidhu Mohan a senior psychologist from city, Dr Preeti from a Govt hospital, Sangeeta Jain from SOREM, Sharmita Bhinder and Bharati Kapoor both founder members of NGO discussed about autism while stressing upon the need to speared awareness on autism. The parents of autistic children also shared their experiences and few autistic children also sang songs during occasion.
During event , the children enjoyed a lot while getting treats, gifts and joyride on train in the mall.The event was in fact turned out to be nice outing for parents and their children.
Meanwhile Empower-Joy endeavor is to create a society of acceptance , understanding , love and equal opportunity for these children.
