Yadavindra Public School, Patiala 75th foundation day celebrations culminated on a literary note

Yadavindra Public School, Patiala foundation day celebrations culminated on a literary note today. Three books written by school students and old students were released on the concluding day of the foundation day ceremonies at Captain Amarinder Singh Auditorium on Sunday, February 5, 2023. The event was attended by esteemed Board members of YPS, AYOSA executives, YPS staff, students and their parents.

The day witnessed the release of three books namely SAGAS, Patiala Diary and OYE Times. The SAGAS includes the school’s journey and history in 75 verses. Patiala Diary consists of a collection of short stories written by talented writers of the school. OYE Times is a collection of personal experiences penned down by old students.

The event started with the arrival of the Chairman of the YPS Board of Governors, Raja Malvinder Singh. The Gayatri Mantra and Mool Mantra gave an auspicious start to the ceremonies. The welcome address was followed by Bhoomi Mangalam, Raag and the school song sung by the school choir. It was a moment of pride and delight for everyone when a special message from the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and the school’s patron Capt Maharaja Amarinder Singh messages were displayed on the screen. They congratulated YPS for completing a glorious 75 years.

The school students of Art, photography and IT field had put up an exhibition to showcase the best of their talents. Rani HariPriya Kaur inaugurated the exhibitions. The Chairman congratulated the students for their outstanding efforts. The other highlights of the day included a video presentation of the YPS journey so far and a mesmerising performance of the folk dance of Gujrat named ‘Aswar’. Maj Gen B S Grewal, Director, YPS, Patiala thanked everyone during his speech. The function ended with the National Anthem.
