Khalsa College and Rotary Club Anandpur Sahib get Best Project Award

Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib, a leading autonomous body in the area under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee(SGPC), organised a five-day ‘Self-Defense’ training camp for girls in association with Rotary Club Anandpur Sahib.
The camp has been declared the best project in Zone 11 of Rotary International District 3080. Rotary District Governor ‘Ajay Madan’ specially honored Dr. Jasvir Singh, Principal, Khalsa College and Dr. Palwinderjit Singh Kang, President, Rotary Club at the award ceremony held at Ambala.
On the occasion Dr. Jasvir Singh informed that in celebration of Women Empowerment Week a five day camp was organised for the girls in the college in which the girls were imparted self defense training by the experts in collaboration with Rotary Club, Anandpur Sahib.
He thanked the District Governor and said that the college would continue to work for the welfare of the people in the future in collaboration with various social service organisations to fulfill its responsibility towards the society.
