Tough days ahead for Vijay Inder Singla; Sangrur Police presented challan; court issues summon for Oct 17

Former Punjab cabinet minister and senior congress leader Vijay Inder Singla seems to be in trouble as the Sangrur Police has presented a challan in the district court against him in two cases. The court of CJM, Sangrur has issued the summons for appearance on 17 Oct 2022 .
As per available information, a FIR No. 31, dt. 12-02-22 u/s 188 IPC, 51 Disaster Management Act 2005 was registered in Police Station City, Sangrur. The police had book the former minister after they received an official letter from the RO -cum- SDM (108 Sangrur), for violating the model code of conduct during the assembly elections.
On February 9,2022 a Flying Squad Team I/c Rajinder Kumar checked Khalifa Gali, Sangrur at about 9:45 PM where Congress candidate Vijay Inder Singla was conducting political rally / Street meeting of 70–80 unknown persons in violation of model code of conduct which was duly videographed,. He is conducting meeting without the prior permission from the Returning Officer and found violating Covid–19 norms. Later the police lodged a FIR against Vijay Inder Singla.
In another case a FIR No. 25, dt. 13-02-22 u/s 188 IPC, 51 Disaster Management Act 2005, in PS City Sangrur was registered upon receipt of letter from RO -cum- SDM (108 Sangrur)
On 12-02-22 at about 10 PM to 10:30 PM congress candidate Vijay Inder Singla was conducting a political rally of 200-250 persons without the prior permission and found violating Covid-19 norms. Flying Squad Team I/c Rajinder Kumar verified the facts and reported the matter for conducting meeting without permission and violating Covid–19 norms and Model Code of Conduct (MCC). On this FIR was registered against Vijay Inder Singla.

Sangrur police has issue a Challan against Vijay Inder Singla (Ex-MLA) and the same was presented on September 21, 2022 in the court of CJM Sangrur. On this the court of CJM, Sangrur has summoned him for October 17,2022
